Scarff Auto Center

About Us

The Foundation is
Integrity

The Scarff brothers come from a long tradition in the automobile business. Our grandfather, Wayland Scarff, opened his first dealership in 1921 and moved it from South Seattle to Auburn, Washington in June of 1922. This dealership Scarff Ford has thrived for 86 years and grown into one of the most successful dealerships in the Northwest.
Doug & Greg Scarff bought Korn Buick, in Kalispell, in 1993. They brought with the same integrity that made their grandfathers Ford dealership so successful.

They are celebrating a fifteen year anniversary in Kalispell. "We feel we have brought some integrity with us. If you want to experience a low pressure atmosphere with informed sales people stop in... the coffee is always on!"

"We hope this web site can provide you with some useful information."

About Kalispell

In 1807, David Thompson, explorer and mapper, walked over a rise and stood dumfounded and amazed, the first white man to see Flathead Lake and the paradise of natural beauty surrounding it. Gradually, trappers, settlers, adventurers and pioneers trickled into the valley from the South, moving along the shores of the lake and finally into the Flathead Valley.

In 1887, Jack Demers erected a general store on the Flathead River at a steamboat landing called Head of Navigation, located on Lower Valley Road, where the old pier pilings still stand.

By the time the railroad arrived on January 1, 1892, Demersville had been moved, building by building, three miles north... renamed Kalispell... the steamboat had been replaced by the steam engine.
